THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF OIL: MINERAL AND SYNTHETIC.

The number on the motorcycle oil can indicates the viscosity of the oil. This number refers to the oil’s ability to flow at different temperatures. For example, a 10W-40 oil means that it has a viscosity of 10 when cold and 40 when hot. The lower the cold viscosity number, the more lubricating this oil will be at low temperatures.

These numbers are known as SAE grade. SAE Grade is divided into two parts:

1. The first number, which is the one that accompanies the letter and represents the degrees of winter. Is accompanied by a letter W(Winter), which indicates the fluidity of the oil when cold. The lower this number will be, the better the cold fluidity and the faster the oil will reach all parts of the engine and thus ensure the protection of all the elements in less time.
